In 2001 Steve went with a friend to visit France for the first time. He was able to pursue his dream and meet new friends that would last a life time. Upon their arrival they were greeted by the French with open arms to learning about the EB. This was a short trip which caused them to have a world wind trip. On their first day they talked long into the night (our morning) about the Epagneul Bretons. They met Pierre Willems a long time breeder of Hameau De Sorney. Friday there was a trip to Soissons in which they viewed churches dating back to the 12th century. You will see some of these below. After a beautiful lunch they were off to Laon to view the architecture. Friday night was the welcome dinner in Septmonts. Here they met Christian Gunther, Jean Lovet, Patcicia Rush, Geeske and Carston Hennerup. Steve met our breeder of Aberdon Stuchdan Duighall (Doogie) Ann Massie & John. Saturday brought the TAN in Morsain. They were privileged to view Christian Gunther judge they young dogs. After another wonderful French lunch they were off to Pierre Willems home. He graciously allowed him to view his kennel and talked on the terrace talking once again this wonderful breed. The Gala dinner was definitely a true traditional French dinner. Dinner lasted for almost 4 hours. Which brings us to Sunday's National Show. This is where they were able to view at least 300 dogs. This was held at Septmonts. It was held at Chateau de Septmonts. This is where they met Pierre Terran of Du Buisson De Choisel. A very well know breeder of International Champion NAT Du Buisson De Choisel. The weekend ended with dinner with our English friends. Hope you enjoy all the pictures of his trip.
