David Grubbs has good tips on picking a pup. This is a training book of the
shooting/all-age dog using his methods. He gives advice on campaigning,
conditioning and I enjoyed his thoughts on judging , field trial handling and
tips on winning.
He is the only handler to win all four National Shooting Dog Championships
in history. The National Prairie Chicken Championship, The National Shooting
Dog Championship, The National Pheasant Shooting Dog Championship and The
National Chucker Shooting Dog Championship.
"The White Knight Story"

This book is not just about White Knight, but D. Hoyle Eaton's life . The
people he has known and have influenced his life. Some of the dogs he has
trained, owned and known. He does tell of his methods used and what it takes
to become a good trainer, but this is not a book about training. His
thoughts on judging
are worth reading, as are many other comments he makes
mention of.
